Why Install WhatsApp on Your PC?
There are several reasons why you might want to install WhatsApp on your PC. Firstly, it allows you to have a more comfortable typing experience as compared to using a smartphone keyboard. Additionally, if you spend long hours working on your PC, having WhatsApp accessible directly from your computer can save time and effort.
Installing an Android Emulator
To install WhatsApp on your PC, you will need an Android emulator. An emulator is software that replicates the Android operating system on your computer. There are many emulators available in the market, but one of the most popular choices is Bluestacks.
To start the installation process, visit the official Bluestacks website and download the emulator setup file. Once downloaded, run the setup file and follow the instructions provided by the installation wizard. After successful installation, launch Bluestacks.
Setting Up WhatsApp
Now that you have installed an Android emulator on your PC, it’s time to set up WhatsApp. Launch Bluestacks and sign in with your Google account credentials when prompted. This step is necessary as it allows you to access Google Play Store within Bluestacks.
Once signed in, locate Google Play Store within Bluestacks and open it. In the search bar at the top of Play Store, type “WhatsApp” and press enter. From the search results, click on “WhatsApp Messenger” and then click “Install”. Wait for the installation process to complete.
After installation, locate WhatsApp on your Bluestacks home screen and click on it to open the app. You will be prompted to enter your phone number. WhatsApp will send a verification code to the entered phone number, which you’ll need to enter in the app for verification.
Syncing WhatsApp with Your Smartphone
To successfully use WhatsApp on your PC, you need to sync it with the WhatsApp application on your smartphone. Open WhatsApp on your smartphone and go to Settings. From there, select “WhatsApp Web/Desktop” and scan the QR code displayed in Bluestacks using your phone’s camera.
Once scanned, your WhatsApp account will be synced with Bluestacks, and you can now enjoy using WhatsApp on your PC. All your messages and contacts will be available, and any changes made on one device will reflect on the other.
In conclusion, installing WhatsApp on your PC can provide a more convenient messaging experience. By following this step-by-step guide, you can easily install WhatsApp on your PC using an Android emulator like Bluestacks. Enjoy staying connected with friends and family while working or browsing from the comfort of your computer screen.

How to Change WhatsApp Ringtone & Notification Sound on iPhone
- 1 Can I change the WhatsApp call ringtone?
- 2 Change WhatsApp ringtone for notifications
- 3 Set different WhatsApp notification tones for single contacts & groups
Can I change the WhatsApp call ringtone?
Since iOS 10, WhatsApp uses the same ringtone for calls as your iPhone for normal calls. So you change the ringtones for WhatsApp calls the same way you change the ringtones for iPhone calls. This also means that you can no longer distinguish between a normal call and a WhatsApp call by choosing different ringtones.
Change WhatsApp ringtone for notifications
To change the ringtone for incoming WhatsApp messages, first open the WhatsApp app and tap “Settings” in the lower right corner. Then go to “Notifications” and tap “Sound” below Message Notifications .
You can now choose from a list of different tones from the classic “Xylophone” to the discreet “Note” ringtone. In this view, you can also completely disable the ringtone for messages by choosing “None”. Tap “Save” in the top right corner to save the selected tone. In the Notifications section, you can also set your own tone for group notifications. This way you’ll always know whether a single contact is writing to you or someone has posted something to the group.
Tip : In another trick we show you how to create your own iPhone ringtone !
Set different WhatsApp notification tones for single contacts & groups
You can also assign a custom alert tone to individual contacts and even groups. If you can’t see what’s on the screen, you’ll know immediately when a contact writes to you or someone in a group posts something. This way you can (probably) separate important messages from less important ones.
To do this, open the WhatsApp app, go to “Chats” and select a chat with a contact or group that you want to assign a tone to. In the chat view, tap the name in the top left corner and choose “Custom Tones” . Here you can select a suitable chime for your contact or group from a list. Confirm your selection by tapping the “Save” button in the top right-hand corner, and you’re done.

While the Custom Ringtone feature can be accessed from within WhatsApp on Android devices, iPhone users need to access the Contacts App to Set WhatsApp Custom Ringtones.
Set Custom Ringtones for WhatsApp Contacts on iPhone
The Custom Ringtone feature in WhatsApp can be used to differentiate important WhatsApp Contacts from all other Contacts.
For example, you can assign a Custom Ringtone to an important Contact on WhatsApp, so that you can immediately know that you are receiving a WhatsApp Call from this particular Contact.
Similarly, assigning a distinct Ringtone for all your Family members in WhatsApp can help in making sure that you do not miss important or emergency calls from your family members.
As mentioned above, the Custom Ringtone feature is not available in the iOS version of WhatsApp. However, you can still set custom ringtones for WhatsApp Contacts on iPhone using the iPhone Contacts App.
Assign Custom Ringtones for WhatsApp Contacts on iPhone

How To Change WhatsApp Rington On Android And iPhone: Customize The Sound Of Calls Or Messages

Widely used messaging service WhatsApp allows you to change messages and call ringtones.
For calling, this feature enables users to have a different ringtone for WhatsApp calls and cellular calls so that the calls can be differentiated by listening to the ringtone itself.
Moreover, you can set a custom WhatsApp ringtone for different groups as well as contacts. This comes in handy when you want to get notified by the sound of the notification itself whether it is of priority or not.
Suppose you are a part of some groups or chats where your intervention is very important.
Then, you can set a different WhatsApp ringtone for that group or chat or even individual contact. Thus, by only listening to the sound of the notification, you know that you need to check it as fast as possible while you can safely ignore the others.
All in all, you get the idea! Custom notifications make it easier to figure out which contact is calling or messaging you by listening to the WhatsApp ringtone alone.
Let’s dive in!

The only drawback here is that you cannot have a different tone for mobile and WhatsApp calls on iPhone.
This will change the WhatsApp ringtone for all the contacts and groups.
Set A Custom WhatsApp Ringtone For Contacts And Groups

1 thought on “How To Change WhatsApp Rington On Android And iPhone: Customize The Sound Of Calls Or Messages”
Hello, setting customized notification is different from setting customized ringtones. This article is about setting customized notifications only. With customized ringtones, I want to assign MY OWN sound files, eg .ogg or .mp3, as the ringtone for an application event. For WhatsApp I am able to do this on an Asus phone by copying my own sound files to the /Ringtones folder. However, on an Alcatel Pixi 3, I could not, my sound files in /Ringtones and /Notifications are not visible when I went to choose ringtones for message notifications.
