Delta A330 Seat Map
Delta airbus a330 300 overview.
The A330 is a wide-body twinjet aircraft built and produced by Airbus. The Delta Airbus A330 is primarily used for international flights. There are 293 passengers on this aircraft with the next-generation version featuring 34 flat-bed Delta One seats, 40 Delta Comfort+ seats, and 219 Economy seats. The Airbus A330 300 Delta plane features Audio and Video OnDemand (AVOD) throughout all classes. The service features 4100 MP3 and radio stations, several HBO movies, more than 18 satellite networks, and dozens of games. If you don’t have your own single-prong headphones, then you can purchase a set onboard for $2.
The A330 300 Delta flights offer access to the internet powered by Gogo service. Connectivity is available once the aircraft reaches 10 000 feet cruising altitude, allowing passengers to connect their personal portable devices to the web. This service, however, comes at a fee. Delta A330 300 Delta One, Delta Comfort+, and a few selected seats in Economy Class have USB connection ports in the in-seat entertainment system that allows you to charge your devices inflight. AC power ports are also available in Delta One, as well as in rows 10-19. Food service depends on the length of the flight and the time of day. Light snacks are complimentary in all the different classes and so are non-alcoholic drinks.

Delta A330 300 Seating
Delta Airbus A330 300 seating chart is a useful tool that can be used prior to a flight that helps passengers see which seat they want to book. The comfort and service of the flight depend on the class selected. During non-domestic U.S. flights, economy passengers can have complimentary meals. On select routes within the U.S., light meals such as sandwiches, wraps, and snack boxes are available for purchase on flights greater than 900 miles. For domestic flights, economy passengers may purchase alcoholic beverages but on non-domestic flights these drinks are complimentary. Delta One and Delta Comfort Plus passengers can enjoy premium dining and complimentary alcoholic drinks. However, no matter which cabin you find yourself in, you can enjoy the Delta A330 300 interior which is built for the customer’s comfort.
Delta One A330
Delta A330 First class is called Delta One and is fitted with 34 seats that have lots of legroom. The seats are nice and wide and have an impressive 80 inches of seat pitch. The seats lie flat Delta One A330 and give its passengers a luxurious feel with leather seat cushions. Seats 1C, 1G, and the entire row 9 are the best choice. However, if you are tall and have big feet try to avoid 3C as you may be cramped and your feet won’t fit the cubbyhole.
Delta A330 Comfort Plus
Right behind the Airbus A330 300 Delta One class is the Delta A330 300 Business Class or the Delta Comfort Plus class has 40 standard seats arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration. There is an impressive 3 more inches in seat pitch than in Economy class. An added bonus to the cabin is that passengers can get complimentary alcoholic beverages. The best seats according to previous passengers in this section are in row 10. If you are looking for a view avoid the window seats in row 13.
A330 300 Delta Economy
At the rear of the plane, behind the Delta Comfort Plus A330 cabin is the bulk of the seats, with 219 standard seats in Economy class. They have the industry standard pitch of 31 inches, which can either be fine or cramped depending on your height. If you are tall then consider booking a seat in row 27. According to tall passengers, the seats in this row have ample legroom for you.

Review: Delta One’s A330-300 New York to Amsterdam
Posted by Takeoff To Travel | Feb 28, 2023 | Airlines , Flight Reviews , Reviews and Reports | 2
Background + Booking:
I recently flew on Delta One’s A330-300 from New York (JFK) to Amsterdam (AMS). This specific aircraft still has the classic Delta One seat (formerly Business Elite) and not the new Delta One Suites. Last summer, fellow bloggers posted some hard-to-find Delta One award availability , so I booked a trip to visit my friends in the Netherlands and Switzerland. I used 100,000 Virgin Points + $63 in taxes for my roundtrip flight. If you’re curious about how I booked the flight, you can check out my blog post on it here .
Originally, this flight was supposed to be aboard an A330-900neo, which contains the new Delta One Suites. As of the posting of this review, there are two daily flights from New York (JFK) to Amsterdam (AMS) on Delta. One of the flights has the A330neo with Delta One Suites, and one flight has the older A330-300 with the classic reverse herringbone product. Unfortunately, there was an equipment swap a few months before my flight, so I would be on the classic A330-300. I got rebooked to a non-Delta One Suites flight on my inbound flight too but was able to switch back to my Delta One Suites flight. You can read about that experience here if you would like. If you’re curious about how my inbound flight was in Delta One Suites on the A330-900neo, you can check out that review here .
Funny enough, back in the day when I was a teenager, the A330 on Delta was one of the planes I was eager to try, as the seat was quite advanced for the time. So in a sentimental way, I was excited to try out this classic seat type at least once.
The Flight:
Delta Air Lines Flight 48 New York (JFK) to Amsterdam (AMS) Class: Delta One (Business Class) Aircraft: Airbus A330-300 Seat: 5J
At The Airport:
I arrived at JFK a few hours before departure to relax in the lounge. There is a dedicated check-in area at JFK, and there were no lines for check-in assistance on a Tuesday afternoon around 3pm.
Delta One JFK Check-In
I have TSA-Pre check, and the line wasn’t too bad, and I was past security in no more than 10 minutes. On the other hand, the general TSA lines were showing a wait time of 30-45 minutes.
Lounge Access:
When flying Delta One internationally, you can use your ticket to visit the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse which is cool. I’ve visited the main Delta Sky Club at JFK recently, and while it’s good for a “general” club, it’s certainly not to the level of a business-class lounge. I’m excited to see what Delta has in store for the new Delta One lounges they plan on opening in Los Angeles (LAX) and New York (JFK) in 2024. Just be mindful that if you decide to visit the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, it might be a 10-15 minute walk to your Delta gate depending on where you’re departing from.
Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse
The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse was great as it had tasty a la carte dining included, as well as excellent service. If you’re interested in reading about my full experience at the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, you can check out my review of the lounge here .
Boarding was originally scheduled to commence 55 minutes before departure. The specific aircraft utilized had arrived in New York about 7 hours ago, but it seems to have been at the maintenance area so it was a bit late arriving at our gate. We ended up starting boarding about 20 minutes late and left the gate 25 minutes after our scheduled departure.
We boarded the aircraft from the middle door which was nice. It was very interesting, as it was the first flight I’ve been on where you boarded by not scanning your boarding pass. Rather, biometrics took a photo of you and allowed you on board. New, and interesting to me.
After getting on the plane, you would turn left for the Delta One Cabin, and turn right for Premium Select and the Main Cabin.
First Impressions:
My first impressions of the plane were that it seemed older and a bit outdated, but well-maintained. This plane was 17 years old and was originally delivered for Northwest Airlines. I believe with the addition of the “Premium Select” cabin, they freshened up the cushions in the Delta One Cabin last year or so. While not as nice as Delta One Suites, it is still a definite step up from the older 767-300s that Delta operates.
Delta One’s A330-300
Shortly, after I was seated, champagne, mimosa and orange juice were offered in glasses.
Due to a half an hour taxi, we eventually took off about 50 minutes after our scheduled departure. The flight deck informed us that the flight in the air to Amsterdam would be six hours and thirty minutes, which would help make up some time as the flight was blocked for a 7-hour and 15-minute total flight time.
There are two lavatories, both in the front of the cabin for Delta One passengers. They were stocked with Grown Alchemist Soap and Lotion. These lavatories unfortunately don’t have automatic sinks like the A330neo.
The Aircraft: Delta One’s A330-300
On this A330-300 (3M3), the Delta One Cabin is a single cabin that contains 34 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. Row 1 contains 2 seats in the center of the cabin, and there are 4 seats across from rows 2-9. The seats are in a reverse herringbone style, so they angle outward at the windows, and angle inward with the center seats. There are no specific rows that offer more/less privacy from the aisle due to the design.
Delta One’s A330-300 Center Seats
Delta One’s A330-300 Window Seats
The Seat: 5J
There is a 15.4-inch IFE screen that pops out of the seat in front of you and it’s a solid size, though smaller than the 18.5-inch screen offered on the new A330-900neo. The seat offers 80 inches of pitch, and the seat is 20 inches wide according to SeatGuru. There is a remote control for the IFE screen next to the screen, as well as the seat controls to turn the seat into a lie-flat bed or to make your seat a more comfortable setting. The touch screen was a bit unresponsive, which is probably attributed to its age, but I was still able to get everything to work for the most part.
The main side armrest is near the window and has a power outlet, a USB port for charging and a headphone jack. There is also a small lamp that pops up that serves a dual purpose as the headphone holder.
Interestingly, the first headset I had was missing one of the two prongs so it couldn’t connect to the TV. No big deal though, as the flight was quite empty the flight attendant provided me with another one from an empty seat.
Headset Prong Broken
One potential drawback is that there isn’t really any formal storage or cubby with this seat, but rather a place to stuff items near the ground in the aisle, and a little area where the safety card is located.
The tray table is quite easy to pull out from the armrest which was a plus and can fold to be compact, or extended to full size.
One potential drawback of the seat is that it isn’t the most private or protected from the aisle.
Waiting at the seat, each seat had a Delta bedding in a nice reusable bag containing a duvet and pillow. Slippers were also provided. There was also a full-sized water bottle and an amenity kit. Unfortunately, the pillow I received this time was quite flat and it was hard to get comfortable. This was interesting as I had just flown last month in Delta One and the pillow was fine. But overall, I think the Westin Heavenly Bedding from the past was better than the new Delta bedding.
Bedding and Slippers
The amenity kit is from Someone Somewhere, and the bag is made from artisan communities in Mexico, using natural and recycled materials. Inside there was an eye mask, earplugs, a small pen, lotion and lip balm from Grown Alchemist plus a toothbrush + toothpaste.
Amenity Kit
Wi-Fi was offered from Intelsat on this flight, ironically at a cheaper rate than when I flew from New York to Los Angeles over Christmas (which was $39.95 for the flight). On this flight to Amsterdam, the flight pass was $21.95, or $6.95 for 1 hour which seemed fair to me. Additionally, if you just wanted to use messaging apps such as iMessage, Facebook Messenger & WhatsApp, they were provided complimentary. T-Mobile customers also get free WiFi which was great for me. Delta states that Wi-Fi will be free on international flights by the end of 2024 .
Lie-Flat Mode:
The footwell area was relatively roomy in the lie-flat position which was a plus. For some reason, I couldn’t get into a comfortable spot and thought the cushion was too stiff for comfort. It might have also been attributed to the fact that I had issues with my pillow. Nonetheless, it was nice to be able to lay flat for a nap.
Lie Flat Mode
After reaching cruising altitude, dinner was served. Full menus were available via QR code, and small card highlighting the main entree choices were available at each seat.
One random note: I was in row 5, and the in-flight announcement speakers are above this seat. The announcements were quite loud. I’m not sure if it was this specific crew, but if you are a bit sensitive to noise I would probably not sit in row 5.
Meal Service:
In the app, I was able to preselect my meal a few days before check-in and I chose the Roasted Chicken Thigh.
I overheard the flight attendant mentioning that the Braised Beef Short Rib on the menu was out due to supply issues and that it would be a meatball dish instead. The other option onboard that was available was Chef Mashama Bailey’s Vegetable Tagine.
Via the preorder, which can be done up to 24 hours prior to the flight, there were two additional meal options. You could preorder the Seared Branzino or the New York Old Fashioned Eggplant Tower.
Due to turbulence after takeoff, the dinner service was postponed a bit. Before the service, they handed out a refreshing wet towel. They then brought out a small cold cheese and nuts plate to start, which I enjoyed.
Then the full dinner service came with a Corn Chowder and Baby Spinach Salad to start. I didn’t care for the corn chowder but enjoyed the cranberry poppyseed vinaigrette dressing in the spinach salad.
Main Meal Service
As for the main course, I thought the chicken was pretty good, and the mashed potatoes and spinach were nice additions.
For dessert, you could choose between the Opera Cake, Ice Cream Sundae or the Fruit and Cheese Plate. I got the opera cake, and it was quite tasty.
I then went to bed to catch some shut-eye. A snack basket was left in the galley containing Ms Vickie’s chips, Hershey’s chocolate bars, nuts and chocolate chip cookies as well as bananas.
Around one hour and fifteen minutes prior to landing, the lights came on. Breakfast service was provided and the choices were between a Three Cheese Quiche and Warm French Toast Pudding. I opted for a Three Cheese Quiche, and it was not the most appetizing thing to eat for breakfast. It was much too rich and cheesy. I just ate the croissant and fresh fruit that it came with.
Breakfast: Three Cheese Quiche
Right before landing, they handed out a small Ghirardelli chocolate which was a cute touch.
Pre-Arrival Chocolate
The Verdict:
Overall, the relatively quick 7-hour hop from New York to Amsterdam aboard the classic Delta One on the A330-300 was a decent experience. While the hard product is a bit past its prime, the main dinner was solid, and the seat was good enough to catch some shut-eye.

Hi everyone! The travel bug hit me at the age of eight on my first flight and ever since then I’ve loved planning vacations for my friends and family. My goal is to try out new hotel chains and sample the many airline cabins out there. Having been both a city boy and living in the suburbs, I love traveling to all destinations both big and small.

I have flown in DeltaOne on the 767, A330, and A330-900neo. As for hard product, I agree with you that the A330-900neo is the best of the 3. However, I still have a problem with the narrowness of the seat in full lie flat mode and don’t think the footwell is large enough on any of these aircraft. I also don’t think that Delta’s meal choices are particularly good for a business class product and not as good as they used to be. I have been particularly unimpressed by their wine offerings. The idea that no French wines (other than … Read more »
Thanks for sharing and reading! I didn’t pay much attention to the wine offerings on this flight as I didn’t feel like drinking, but if your experience parallels, I’m glad I didn’t make the effort. Hopefully they can work to improve the selection!

All airbus deliveries: delta air lines received 43 aircraft last year.
The airline has more than 200 Airbus aircraft on order compared to only 100 Boeing planes.
- Delta Air Lines added over 40 new Airbus jets to its fleet in 2023.
- It's unique fleet strategy includes three aircraft types that its competitors do not operate.
- The airline will soon operate more Airbus aircraft than Boeing aircraft.
Delta Air Lines grew its already large fleet of aircraft in 2023, with the addition of more than 40 new planes. All, which are Airbus jets, add to the Atlanta-based carrier’s operating workforce of more than 880 aircraft.
With a unique fleet strategy, Delta’s operation is supported by three aircraft types that its two legacy airline competitors do not currently operate. Seeing success in the planes, the carrier has committed to receiving more examples of the types.
Inside the numbers: The Delta fleet
Delta recently announced it welcomed 43 new Airbus aircraft last year, comprising the A220-300, A321neo, and A330-900neo variants. More than half of the amount were A321neos, with 27 examples delivered. Nine aircraft were A220-300s, and the remaining seven were next-generation A330s.
According to ch-aviation , the airline operates a total of 983 planes, but only 887 are currently active. Among the active jets, 466 are Boeing aircraft, while 421 are Airbus-made. The A321ceo and the 737-900ER are the aircraft types Delta has the most examples of, at 120 and 155, respectively.
All-new airbus aircraft
The addition of 27 A321neos brings the total number of examples to 50. The plane type, which first entered service with Delta in 2022, has been a game changer to the carrier’s operation, primarily flying transcontinental and transpacific routes. The aircraft was also the first to feature new domestic first class seats and an updated inflight entertainment system with Bluetooth connectivity. It accommodates 194 passengers across a three-class format: 20 first class seats, 42 Comfort+ seats, and 132 seats in the main cabin. With 50 jets, Delta still awaits the delivery of 105 aircraft to complete its order of 155 examples.
The ‘Prudent’ Fleet Strategy Behind Delta Air Lines’ Success
The A220-300 also complements Delta’s extensive domestic route network . The plane, which has a capacity of 130 passengers, is essentially the direct replacement of the carrier’s former 737-700 fleet. With nine new additions, Delta now operates a total of 23 A220-300s – with 77 still on order. Currently, the airline has more examples of the A220-100 variant at 45, but the -300 fleet will surpass that once all aircraft are delivered.
Delta stands out as the only US airline to operate the A330-900neo. Receiving seven new jets brings the total to 27 aircraft. The airline committed to 39 planes, meaning 12 have yet to be delivered. The plane type enhances Delta’s international operations, accommodating 281 passengers in four classes. There are 29 luxurious Delta One suites that feature fully lie-flat beds. In the Premium Select cabin, there are 28 recliner seats. 56 economy seats are designated as Comfort+, featuring more legroom, while 168 regular seats complete the main cabin.
Different from its competitors
The A330-900neo and the A350-900 are jointly deployed on ultra-long-haul routes across the globe but also occasionally fly within the US on transcontinental or hub-to-hub flights. Delta is also the only US airline to operate the A350 and recently committed to 20 examples of the larger A350-1000 variant.
Other US airlines do operate the A220, but Delta is the sole legacy carrier as American Airlines and United Airlines do not, further highlighting its distinct fleet strategy. In the widebody sector, American and United have opted for Boeing aircraft for their long-haul services.
While Delta currently operates more Boeing aircraft than Airbus, it will soon change over the years. The airline currently has 228 Airbus aircraft on order comprising multiple aircraft types compared to only 100 commitments for the 737 MAX 10.

Airbus A320 Seat Map: Which Airlines Have The Most Legroom?
- Airlines are reducing legroom in passenger aircraft to cut costs, especially in economy cabins.
- However, some airlines, like China Southern and British Airways, offer more generous legroom in their A320 economy cabins.
- Middle Eastern carriers like Etihad and Qatar Airways provide the most legroom in their A320 upper-class cabins.
Passenger aircraft seats and legroom have been shrinking in recent times. As airlines aim to reduce their per-seat expenses, they request denser seating configurations in all cabin classes . That leaves minimal legroom for passengers, particularly in economy cabins.
Single aisle aircraft, combined with minimal legroom on competing routes, can become a deciding factor for passengers. A handful of global carriers still provide generous legroom for most passengers, including a handful of operators offering ample space onboard their fleets of the popular Airbus A320.
Most passengers are unaware of which airlines offer the most legroom on single-aisle jets and hope for the best before a flight. Simple Flying compiled a list of global airlines, based on the data from SeatGuru.com , that offer the most legroom on Airbus A320 aircraft.
Economy Class Legroom: Which Airlines Give You The Most?
Economy class, industry standard: 29 to 31 inches pitch.
Cabin legroom can be measured based on the configuration of the seat pitch. Airlines in China provide some of the largest pitched seats in Economy cabins. China Southern, the largest carrier in China by fleet size, offers a 30- to 39-inch pitch in its A320 economy class. China Eastern Airlines offers economy seating with a pitch of 31 inches.
British Airways offers a generous legroom onboard some of its A320s configured for flights within Europe. The flag carrier provides 31 to 34 inches of pitch in the economy cabin. Lufthansa offers up to 30 inches of pitch in its A320 economy seats.
JetBlue and Air Canada offer the most legroom in North America in their A320 economy seating. The former, being the fifth-largest carrier in the United States, has economy seats with 32- to 33-inch pitch. Air Canada offers a 31- to 32-inch pitch onboard its A320s. Delta Air Lines offers a 31-inch pitch, while economy seats on United A320s have a pitch of 30 inches.
In the Middle East, Abu-Dhabi-based Etihad Airways offers a 32-inch seat pitch, while Qatar Airways has economy seats with a 31-inch pitch. Bangkok Airways also provides economy seats with a 31-inch pitch.
Upper-class cabins
Industry standard: 34 to 38 inches pitch.
The Middle Eastern carriers offer the most legroom in Business cabins onboard their A320 aircraft. Etihad offers a generous 49-inch pitch in its A320 first class cabin. This airline is known for its comfort and luxurious offerings, particularly in its upper-class cabins.
Qatar Airways first Class cabins onboard its A320s have a pitch of 45 inches, which is significantly higher than the industry average. China Southern’s Business cabins on A320s are configured with 42 to 44 inches pitch.
United Airlines offers a 39-inch seat pitch in its first class cabin on the A320s, while Air Canada configures its upper-class cabin seats with a 37 to 38-inch pitch. Delta Air Lines, China Eastern, and Air China offer 36 inches of pitch in their upper-class cabins on A320s.
